My Favorite Black Friday/Cyber Monday Picks!

It’s easy to get sucked into the frenzy of Black Friday and feeling like you need to buy EVERYTHING because it’s on sale. I’ve definitely been guilty and I’ve done it too. What I would often find is after the frenzy had died down I was left looking at things I didn’t REALLY need. Of course rewearing and styling what you already have is the most sustainable way to be. However, sometimes it’s nice to fill wardrobe gaps or add fun pieces that help take your outfits to the next level. We are going to talk about some of my favorite sale picks, some things I’ve actually purchased myself and why.

Let’s start with H&M which has been one of my favorite places to shop lately. They have been killing the game. They seem to be right on the edge of every trend that is coming out. Whoever is in charge of their in-house designers or buying team is doing an amazing job! I want to start with some cool basics I’ve actually purchased myself.

By now, even for us Los Angeleno’s, it’s officially sweater weather. I’m always down for a fun vintage print sweater, but it’s just something about a clean basic that when styled properly makes your entire outfit look expensive. I’ve included a few different styles of knitwear that should work for multiple body types.

Off-the-Shoulder Knit: This is ideal for the woman who wants to feel sexy by showing off a little clavicle lol. I also love this silhouette for showcasing how you layer and stack your favorite necklaces. You can buy your true to size fit to wear with your favorite denim, sweats and trousers. Or you can buy an oversized fit to wear with cotton or leather leggings. This is a great style to wear on those days where it’s just cool enough to wear a sweater but not cool enough to wear a coat or jacket.

V-kneck Knit: I love this style for some of the same reasons I love the off-the-shoulder style but taking away that aspect makes this great for layering. While having an off-shoulder sweater could pose a problem with more fitted jackets, blazers or vests, this style is perfect for layering.

Sweater Vest: Sweater vests are all the rage right now and I see why. Depending on the size and fit you get there are so many ways to style it. I tend to go for a more oversized fit so I can add a long button-down underneath and style it like a dress. But you can still get your actual size if the collegiate vibe is more your taste. Again, this is perfect for layering!

Turtlenecks & Chunky Knits: I don’t think turtlenecks will ever go anywhere. When you opt for a thinner knit the styling/layering possibilities are endless! Yet, there are those times when a chunky knit is everything you want but didn’t know you needed. I love a chunky knit on days I don’t want to wear a jacket or days I just want to be cozy at home and still look put together.

Satin Blouse: A satin blouse just screams holiday to me. It’s also a great year around piece that is also perfect for layering. The sheen gives off such a luxe vibe but snagging it in a more oversized fit adds interest. I love contrast styling satin blouses with ripped denim. For me it’s just more interesting to look at.

I also love a good sweater dress or satin skirt.

Sweater Dress: Sweater dresses are one and done, easy throw and go outfits. It literally requires NO WORK. All you have to do is add great accessories (a good bag, shoe, jewelry) and maybe layer it with a blazer or jacket and you are DONE! It’s the perfect lazy outfit.

Satin Skirt: Satin or silk skirts have easily become a closet staple for me in the last year. I find whether it be spring, summer, fall or winter I want to wear it. It’s great in the spring/summer with sandals and a tank. Great in the fall/winter with tights, a sweater and boots or sneakers. It’s a purchase I’ve never looked back on and thought, “Why did I buy this?”. I have also purchased satin dresses for multi-use as well. It’s an item that is easy to throw a knit or T-shirt over and Voila! It’s a skirt!

We can’t forget statement pieces or cool accessories that add something special to your outfits. I picked all of these items because they do all the talking when styled with basics. Whether it be the sequin skirt or the gray patent leather pants, these items could see you through for a night out with the girls, a NYE gathering or any other special occasion. I love fun pieces you can pull out for anything!

AnaLuisa Jewelry

Let’s talk jewelry! I LOVE AnaLuisa jewelry for high quality, affordable pieces and I wear them every single day! They have a good selection of necklaces for layering, bracelets, rings and earrings. They’re sustainable, carbon neutral, and they use the same materials as Tiffany’s and Louis Vuitton Jewelry. They also have some amazing Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals too!

If you are willing to splurge a little then Missoma has some great quality pieces to choose from. I love chunky, layerable, but slightly dainty at the same time pieces.

Coach Bag

I get asked about this bag ALL the time! It’s been sold out for a while now but I finally found one on sale here!

I added this cute little chain from Amazon to jazz it up!

A few more accessories I love. I think gloves are so underrated and deserve so much more play. I also must admit I’ve fallen victim to being influenced myself. I feel like these Sheertex tights are something I’ve always looked for but never knew existed. The second I saw them I knew I had to try them. I bought 2 pairs and will likely buy more. Finally, I was so happy to see that Anine Bing was having a sale. I think she is best known for her AMAZING silk midi skirts. There were quite a few on sale, along with some dresses. I caved…. All in all, I truly feel like these are pieces that are sure to last in your closet for YEARS to come! No buyers remorse here!
