Time For Fall Shopping Already?!

I can’t believe I’m even saying this but I think it’s safe to say fall is almost upon us! That means it’s time to prep our closets for fall fashion. It’s currently blazing outside for me in Sunny Los Angeles and I have a week of 100+ degree weather to look forward too so it’s pretty insane to even think about putting a sweater against my skin. However, as they say, the early bird catches the worm. I typically shop for my fall/winter fashion in the dead of summer because I know most people aren’t even thinking about a jacket or sweater. The choices are plenty. Waiting until everyone is cold just like you is a sure way to miss out on all the best pieces. I’ve started to notice while browsing some of my favorite sites a sprinkle of fall/winter pieces. Some if them so good I can already envision exactly how I’d wear them. Sweaters and knits more specifically.

If you know anything about the cycle of fashion then you know the trends for each season always drop the year before. Living in California, our fall and winter is more or less the same. We are known for our consistently pleasant, sunny with a cool breeze weather and because of that, I am able to pull from the Spring trends as well. I’ve compiled a list of some of my current favorite AFFORDABLE fall pieces and the designers who inspired them.

Copenhagen Spring 2021

I LOVE how relaxed, cool yet casual this look is. For me it’s the perfect mixing of items you wouldn’t think go together but they actually do. With a look like this it’s easy to dress down with sneakers or add a heel to dress it up. This would look amazing with slouchy boots!

Fall 2020 Ready To Wear

I am a sucker for a good 80s look. This is one of my favorites from the Iro Fall 2020 Ready To Wear Show.

Isabel Marant Pre-Fall 2020

I’ve also been noticing more and more tops coming out with this very peasant like blouse detail. It’s almost a combination of a Broderie Anglaise and Lace look to me. H&M has even come out with a dress version that is VERY hard for me not to buy! Lol

The Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2020 was probably one of my favorite. I loved how edgy yet classic all of the looks were styled. This show is what made me feel like I absolutely needed a pair of faux leather shorts or pants in general.

Fall 2020 Ready To Wear

Although jumpsuits were trending last season, I don’t think they are going anywhere any time soon. H&M came out with a dead on dupe of this one!

Here are some knits I’m completely drooling over at H&M!
