I’ve never been one to follow the crowd and when it comes to fashion I’ve always preferred to stand out. The sneaker game was really hot when I was in high school, especially Jordan’s (not just the 1’s either), and I was that girl who would not be caught dead in a pair.

There are a few somethings every ultra cool street style look has in common. An effortless basic, a pop of color and a statement piece.

It gives me all the feels for a time when my biggest concern was what I’d buy from the ice cream truck and which cartoons I’d watch on TV that Saturday. All of the denim pieces can easily be dressed up or down and layered in very interesting ways.

It’s easy to get sucked into the frenzy and feeling like you need to buy EVERYTHING because it’s on sale. I’ve definitely been guilty and I’ve done it too. What I would often find is after the frenzy had died down I was left looking at things I didn’t REALLY need.

I can’t believe I’m even saying this but I think it’s safe to say fall is almost upon us! That means it’s time to prep our closets for fall fashion.
